Make this summer a creative one at Australian Print Workshop.
With fourteen courses spanning printmaking and related art forms, APW’s Summer Festival of Printmaking offers a unique opportunity to step into a world-class, professional print studio, try something new or deepen your knowledge of a medium you already love.
Each course runs for two consecutive days and is limited to a maximum of twelve participants (ten for lithography) to give you plenty of room to explore your ideas in our extensive, air conditioned printmaking studio facilities. Each course fee includes an essential materials kit.
For those excited to explore printmaking techniques, look to our core printmaking workshops taught by APW’s highly skilled printers. You will get the opportunity to experiment with marks, ink and paper, build your confidence with expert guidance and take home your own original prints.
We’re also thrilled to offer a series of courses in bookbinding, artists’ books, traditional Japanese printing and Photopolymer techniques. These workshops will be delivered by specialist guest tutors who bring their passion and expertise to APW’s Summer Festival of Printmaking.
Choose a printmaking medium, explore the art of the book, or combine courses to discover how these complementary skills can inspire and extend your creative practice.
Find us in the heart of Fitzroy’s vibrant Gertrude Street precinct, just a 10-minute ride on the #86 tram from the CBD, your creative summer escape in Naarm / Melbourne.
Each 2-day class costs: $650 (including all printmaking materials & tea/coffee making facilities).
Suitable for adults (18+ years).
