WORKING AT APW

Custom Printing Workshop

The Australian Print Workshop's Custom Printing Workshop provides an opportunity for artists who may not have a detailed technical knowledge of printing processes to produce limited edition prints.

Artists using the Custom Printing Workshop collaborate with APW Printers, who manage the technical aspects of printing and assist them to realise their particular visual language in the print medium.

The APW Custom Printing Workshop offers printmaking services in a range of print techniques including, etching, direct stone lithography, direct and offset plate lithography, relief printing and monoprinting.

The reputation of APW Custom Printing Workshop, based on its world-class facilities and on the skill and expertise of APW Printers, attracts artists from around Australia. A number of these artists have an extensive background in printmaking, while others visit the APW to make prints for the first time.

Many artists use the APW Custom Printing Workshop to make prints for solo and/or group exhibitions, commissions and for awards and competitions. The Australian Print Workshop Gallery also stocks many prints produced by artists who have used the APW Custom Printing Workshop to produce their work.

How can I use the Custom Printing Workshop?

The APW Custom Printing Workshop offers a custom printing service that is available to anyone who wishes to produce work in the print medium.

If you are interested in our custom printing service, please contact us to make an appointment with our staff to discuss the scope of your proposed printing project. Ideally, this meeting provides an opportunity for APW staff to view some examples of your work, to help determine the most appropriate printmaking techniques for your proposed project.
